The fire is still raging in Linen Hall Barrack, and Hugh Moore and Alexander are using their own hose to prevent the fire from reaching their premises. The military have taken possession of Capel Street to near top of North King Street, and have created barricades about centre way in Little Mary Street and Little Britain Street, and have searched all the houses in these streets as far as the barricades. There is not much firing going on now, but we are completely surrounded by the military on one side rebels on the other.
